CC slashy@slashy.com on any thread and the assistant takes it from there. It reads the thread, replies to the other people, finds meeting times, and follows up until the outcome is done. If you set up your own assistant mailbox, CC that address instead.
When you hand a thread to the assistant, it replies to the people on the thread without asking you to approve each email. It sends from the assistant address and keeps you CC’d, so you see everything it writes. Only CC the assistant on threads where you want it to act for you.

Add the assistant

Send a new email or reply on an existing thread, and CC slashy@slashy.com (or your own assistant address). Say what you want, for example “Please find a time for us to meet next week.”

The assistant takes over

Slashy starts a goal for the thread. The assistant replies to the other people from the assistant address, with you CC’d on public replies.

Follow along

Each reply on the thread wakes the assistant so it can respond. If it needs a fact only you know, it asks you privately in iMessage or by email. When the outcome is done, it tells you.
You can jump in at any time by replying yourself from your own inbox. That also wakes the assistant.

What it can do

  • Coordinate, reschedule, or cancel meetings, checking availability across all your connected calendars and using timezone judgment.
  • Send follow-ups and set reminders for itself.
  • Create, update, and delete calendar events.
  • Research people and companies on the web.
For scheduling, its emails stick to a greeting and the logistics. The assistant coordinates meetings but never attends them.

When someone else CCs the assistant

If a person outside your account CCs your assistant address on a thread that includes you, the assistant does not act on its own. It only reads the thread, then asks you whether you want it to take ownership. Nothing is sent, and no calendar changes are made, until you say yes. Threads the assistant cannot tie to your account are ignored.
