The iOS app shares the same backend as web and desktop, but has its own quirks. Find your issue below.

Common Issues

ProblemFix

Badge count stuckiOS Settings > Slashy > Notifications — toggle off, wait 5 seconds, toggle on. Badge corrects on next sync.
Sync slower than desktopExpected: mobile syncs every 30-60 seconds vs. real-time push on desktop. Pull down to force refresh.
TestFlight to App StoreDelete the TestFlight version, download from App Store, sign in. All data syncs automatically.
Calendar not availableCalendar is desktop/web only for now. Use Google Calendar on mobile. On the roadmap.
Return key sends instead of newlineUse dictation (microphone icon) for longer messages, or compose in Notes and paste.
Push notifications delayediOS Settings > Slashy > enable all notification types. Also enable Background App Refresh.
Dark mode not matching systemCheck in-app settings. Update to latest version (dark mode improved recently).
Swipe actions not registeringSwipe from the middle of the row (not edge, which triggers iOS navigation). Use a slower, deliberate swipe.
Blank screenForce quit and reopen. Requires network connection. Try cellular if Wi-Fi isn’t working.

Known Mobile Limitations

These features are available on web/desktop but not yet on mobile:
  • Calendar — full views and event management
  • Agent sidebar — use the iMessage agent for similar functionality on mobile
  • Keyboard shortcuts — mobile uses tap and swipe gestures
  • Booking links management — create on desktop, booking pages work for invitees on mobile browsers

Keep the App Updated

  1. Open the App Store
  2. Tap your profile icon
  3. Check for Slashy updates
Enable automatic updates: iOS Settings > App Store > App Updates (toggle on). Many issues are fixed in newer versions.
