Every Slashy account has a personal referral link. When a friend signs up through it, they get 30 days of Slashy free instead of the standard trial, and you get one month of your plan credited to your account the moment their trial starts.

What each side gets

Rewards require an active Slashy subscription on your side. Your friend needs to be new to Slashy; an existing account can’t claim a referral.

Refer several people at once

Open the referral picker

Press Cmd+K and type “Refer”. Choose Refer a friend.

Pick who to invite

Slashy suggests people from your contacts. Search the full directory or type any email address, and check up to five people.

Review the emails

Click Review invitations. Slashy shows each email exactly as it will go out from your inbox: from, to, subject, and message. Click Back to change who you picked.

Approve and send

Click Approve and send emails. Nothing is sent until you approve, and you still get a few seconds to undo before the invites go out.
People who already use Slashy, your own connected inboxes, and role addresses like no-reply are shown but can’t be selected, so you never send a referral that can’t be claimed.

Refer a coworker to your team

When you refer someone at your own company domain, the referral window offers to add them to your team instead, for example Add Alex to Acme. If you aren’t on a team yet, it offers to create one for your company. The option shows their seat price, billed to you, and stays off until you check it. With it checked, Slashy sends that coworker a team invite instead of a referral. You get one month of their seat credited once they have been on your team for 14 days. Refer the person you’re emailing

When a thread is open with someone who isn’t on Slashy yet, the command palette names them. Press Cmd+K, type “Refer”, and choose Refer [their name] to send your link to that person directly.
  • Command palette. Cmd+K, then Copy referral link.
  • Settings. Press Cmd+,, choose Referrals, and click Copy next to your link.
  • Contact panel. Open a contact’s sidebar and click Gift free month. The referral window opens with that contact already selected.
Anyone who opens your link has the referral applied automatically at signup. They can also paste it during signup the same way they would an invite code.

Tracking your referrals

Settings → Referrals lists everyone you’ve referred and whether they are Pending or Claimed. A referral counts as claimed once your friend finishes connecting their inbox, and your credit lands when their trial starts.

Cancelling a pending invite

A referral that hasn’t been claimed shows as Pending in Settings → Referrals. Click Cancel on that row to revoke it. A cancelled link no longer works if the recipient tries to use it later.

Yes. You can refer as many people as you like, and each of them gets the 30-day trial. Your own credit applies to the first five who start a trial.
Slashy caps how many referral invites you can send in a short period to keep the program clean. If you hit it, the Referrals page shows when you can send more. Pending and claimed referrals aren’t affected.
