How shortcuts work: Single keys (c to compose), combos (Cmd+Enter), and sequences (g i, press g, release, then i). Sequences use a space. Combos use +. The three prefixes: g jumps to a view (g s for Starred). d opens a sidebar panel (d c for Calendar). e edits the selected calendar event (e y to RSVP yes). Learn the prefix, then the letter.

Panels use d for “display”. A bare p inside a thread sets priority instead, so it is not the panel prefix.

Cmd+P is scoped to what’s focused: it prints the open thread from the inbox, and rates the draft when a compose window has focus (see the Compose tab).

Cmd+Shift+Enter sends immediately and skips the undo window. To schedule a send for later, use Cmd+Shift+L.

Tips for Learning

Start with five: c (compose), e (mark done), j/k (navigate), Cmd+Enter (send), / (search)
Use the command palette: Cmd+K shows the matching shortcut next to each action
Patterns: Views start with g. Panels start with d. Calendar event edits start with e. Learn the prefix, remember the letter.
Bulk select: Hold Shift while pressing J/K to select threads, then apply any action to the selection
