# Known Issues & Service Status

> Current known issues, workarounds, sync status indicators, and how to report bugs.

Check here first if something isn't working as expected.

## Is It Me or Slashy?

  <Step title="Check your internet">
    Open any website. If it loads, your connection is fine.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Reload Slashy">
    `Cmd+R` (web or desktop). Many transient issues resolve with a reload.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Check Gmail directly">
    Open [mail.google.com](https://mail.google.com). If Gmail is slow or down, the problem is Google's.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Check sync status">
    Bottom of the sidebar: green = healthy, yellow = catching up, red = connection problem.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Try another browser">
    If the issue is browser-specific, try an incognito window to rule out extensions.

## Current Known Issues

| Issue                                                     | Status           | Workaround                                                                       |
| --------------------------------------------------------- | ---------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Outlook organizations block tracking pixels**           | Known limitation | Industry-wide -- open data may be incomplete for Outlook recipients.             |
| **iMessage agent stops responding after long inactivity** | Known issue      | Send a new text to wake it up. Contact support if unresponsive after 2 messages. |
| **Large inboxes (10k+ threads) slow initial sync**        | Expected         | First sync takes 5-15 minutes. Subsequent syncs are fast.                        |
| **Calendar timezone display after zone switch**           | Known issue      | Press `Z` in calendar view and select your current timezone.                     |
| **Draft sync delay (Slashy to Gmail)**                    | Known limitation | Drafts sync every few seconds. Avoid editing the same draft in both places.      |

## Sync Status Indicators

* **Green:** All systems normal, real-time sync
* **Yellow:** Syncing but behind (normal after being offline or connecting a new account)
* **Red:** Cannot reach server -- check internet. If working, wait a few minutes and reload

<Warning>If the indicator stays red for more than 5 minutes with a working internet connection, contact support.</Warning>

## Quick Fixes

| Symptom                 | Fix                                                           |
| ----------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Emails not loading      | `Cmd+R` to reload. Check sync indicator.                      |
| AI agent not responding | Reload. Close and reopen sidebar with `p a`.                  |
| Desktop app frozen      | `Cmd+Q` and relaunch.                                         |
| Shortcuts not working   | Click the email list area first (shortcuts need inbox focus). |
| New emails not arriving | Check sync indicator. Verify email arrived in Gmail. Reload.  |
| Calendar events missing | Verify calendar is enabled in Settings > Calendars.           |
