## Switching Accounts

Use `Alt+1`, `Alt+2`, `Alt+3` to switch accounts. `Alt+0` opens **All mode** -- a unified inbox showing emails from every account interleaved by date.

## All Mode

In All mode:

* Importance labels combine emails from all accounts under each tab
* Search covers all accounts at once
* When composing, choose which account to send from via the **From** dropdown
* Replies automatically use the account that received the email

## What Merges vs. Stays Separate

| Merged Across Accounts | Separate Per Account |
| ---------------------- | -------------------- |
| Inbox view (All mode) | Importance labels |
| Search | Gmail labels |
| AI Memories | Calendar |
| AI Agent | Signatures |
| Automations | Contacts |

## Per-Inbox Settings

Each account has independent importance labels, signatures, notification preferences, and undo send delay. Switch to the target account first, then open **Settings**.

## Tips

<Tip>Use All mode as your default for unified inbox processing. Switch to a single account with `Alt+1`/`Alt+2` when you need to focus.</Tip>

* **Set different importance labels per account.** Work and personal inboxes have different classification needs.
* **The AI agent has context from all accounts.** Ask: "Did anyone from Sequoia email either of my accounts this week?"

<Warning>Always glance at the **From** field before sending. In All mode, replies auto-select the correct account, but new emails default to whichever account you last viewed.</Warning>
